In this training phase, Clinicians focus on providing onboarding documentation necessary for credentialing and paneling. Clinicians will also begin to develop a general understanding of school-based mental health and wellness, recognizing the intersection between healthcare and education systems.

Receive Job Description

STEP 2
Review Centers of Wellness Website
Explore the Centers of Wellness website to become familiar with the content and resources. Identify specific topics that resonate with you and prepare to share insights during the SCOW Orientation, as this will help facilitate meaningful discussions and enhance your understanding of key wellness concepts.

STEP 3
Submit Documents for Credentialing
(For HRSA Approved Sites)
Complete the necessary documents for healthcare credentialing. This step is necessary to obtain authorization to provide clinical services in schools. Your timely submission of these documents will help expedite your approval.

• Complete county-specific credentialing application
• Apply as a Medi-Cal provider within PAVE’s system
• Enroll within the CAQH ProView system
• Apply for National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
STEP 4
Compile, Complete, and Submit Documents to Designated Program Analyst for Credentialing:
Gather and finalize the required documents listed below, then submit them to the designated Program Analyst for the credentialing process. This ensures all necessary paperwork is in order for proper evaluation and approval.

Government-issued photo ID
Documentation of current PPD results (TB test)
Pocket License (LMFT, LCSW, ACSW, AMFT)
Individual Practitioner Information Special Training
Copy of diploma or transcripts from school where degree was obtained
STEP 5
Onboarding Support
Understand who to contact for support during the onboarding process. Clinicians are given specific administrative points of contact within the program to facilitate efficient communication and support. These contacts are essential for addressing administrative needs and obtaining necessary information.

Receive program administrators’ points of contact
Coordinate with administrative staff to retrieve technology (phone, computer, fob, lock box, badge)
